Corry began his career as a commercial editor in Chicago. This background would come to shape his creative approach, revealing an instinct for pacing and rhythm that takes most directors years to develop. From there he moved into documentary and non-profit work, learning to craft high impact films out of tight budgets and uncontrolled environments. This combination of post-production precision and raw, documentary sensibility has become a defining characteristic of his work today.

One of Taproot Pictures' Los Angeles-based directors, Corry comes out swinging when a project requires genuine grit. His short film Defy the Odds, based on the true story of NASCAR driver Bill Lester, exemplifies this strength, balancing storytelling accuracy with an edge that commercial polish usually sands away.
