Anne Paas

Anne came up shooting short digital content and EPKs, and it didn't take long for her to catch the attention of the Art Directors Club, who named her a Young Gun: their designation for an “explosive creative” under 30. From there she moved through unscripted television for MTV, A&E, and VH1, directed four seasons of Spotify's original series The Game Plan, and built a commercial reel spanning Microsoft, Procter & Gamble, Verizon, eBay, and Royal Caribbean. Her first short screened at Sundance and went on to over thirty festivals worldwide.
One of Taproot's LA-based directors, Anne is the call when a project pairs well-known talent and iconic brands, needing both to land. She's directed Kristen Bell, Michael Che, Samantha Bee, and Sheryl Crow among others, bringing a midwestern approachability that tends to draw out performances more guarded directors don't. Equally at home in docu-style work and scripted comedy, Anne works across a wide span of formats without losing the thread.
